PsoriasisNL will be hosting a Family Fun Day on Sunday October 28th at St. Pat's Bowling (45
Blackmarsh Road) from 3-5pm. We'll have free bowling, refreshments, prizes, face painting and
more. Open to the public. We'd love to see members of our community who live with Pso or PsA
whether it affects them directly or they have a loved one who lives with it.
At this event we will also be announcing the details of our new Psoriasis Support Group. This
will be a regular meeting aimed at creating a community for those living with Psoriasis or
Psoriatic Arthritis. We want to actively help our community deal with these difficult diseases.
These meetings will be a place to discuss everything from the tricks folks have learned about
living and dealing with Pso and PsA, to the latest pharmaceutical news and breakthroughs, to
just being there for conversation about their day or week. Good times and bad. Everyone needs
someone to talk to who understands what they are going through.
PsoriasisNL Family Fun Day
Sunday October 28th, 3-5pm
St. Pat's Bowling, 45 Blackmarsh Road
In the past PsoriasisNL has held an annual Sharon Power Memorial Walk near the date of
World Psoriasis Day, which falls on October 29th. We all know Newfoundland weather can be a
bit of a gamble, especially in late October, and not everyone living with Pso or PsA is able to go
on a walk. So we decided to move our event indoors to an accessible location for an afternoon
of fun. A great day to relax and converse with other members of our growing community.
We'll have free bowling, refreshments, face painting (for the kids or adults, we don't judge),
prizes and more. We don't want to use this event as a place to give a bunch of speeches but
there will be a brief announcement about our upcoming Psoriasis support group. We'll be
launching it soon after the October 28th Family Fun Day so we'll be talking it up for a few
minutes at the event.
This is going to be a fun event aimed at getting together and realizing none of us is alone
dealing with Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis.
